Hi everyone,

This is my first post.  I did a little bit of digging and searching and didn't come across anyone who has encountered a similar situation, but I'm hopeful someone here can help.

Last month it came to my attention that an album I wrote and performed music on is available on iTunes.  However, I don't know how it came to be there.  Myself and the other songwriters are registered with SOCAN, and this work is registered to us, so you can imagine that it's quite concerning to have our work being available sale without our knowledge, and of course without ever having been paid for any sales made.

After several attempts to contact various arms of Apple and iTunes I've reached a brick wall.  The final suggestion I had from iTunes support was to try sending an email to itunesmarketing@apple.com.  I've sent several messages to that address, but no one will reply to my inquiries and I'm at a loss as to what to do now to find out any info.  I want to know how the record was released to iTunes, by whom, when, and if any revenue has been generated from it being there.

Can anyone here help me progress further?  I'd truly appreciate any input or suggestions at this point.

Thanks!

One thing you can do is check with us. If the person is using TuneCore to place the music in the stores, we'll be able to help. If we didn't, there's little we do.

Start here:
